☆ Sea - 선원이 되다 : go to sea = become a sailor  - 그는 18살에 선원이 되었다  He went to sea when he was eighteen                       넓은 바다를 말할 때는 ‘open sea’ - 그들은 서쪽 넓은 바다 대양으로 향했다 : They headed west toward the open sea             -바다가 잔잔하다 :‘calm' - The sea is calm : 바다가 잔잔하다.                         파도가 높이 치는 험한 바다는 ‘rough sea’ 또는 ‘heavy sea’  - 대부분의 수출품은 바다로 수출된다  : Most exports went by sea                      * by sea = on a ship (배로)      ‘by the sea’하면, ‘on the coast, 해안가에’라는 뜻. - 해안가의 작은 오두막 :　a little cottage by the sea  ‘at sea’는, ‘working on ships, 배에서 일하다’는 뜻 - 그는 30년을 배에서 일하며 보냈다 : He spent over 30 years at sea                         해발을 영어로 하면 sea level  * seafood    홍합: mussel, 오징어: squid, 대합: clams, 굴: oysters   가재: lobster, 새우: shirimp  or prawn .
